Was life after the flood the same as it was before the flood?

No. After the flood, life was not the same as before. God's economy for man was set up differently: before the flood there was no law and order, no prescribed system of worship, and people did not eat meat; after the ark, God told them they could kill and eat.

Les teaches that when Noah and his family came off the ark, life was not the same as before the flood. God's whole economy for man was now going to be set up differently. Before the flood, there was no law and order, no system of worship prescribed, and they could not eat meat; they did not kill anything to eat but ate of everything that grew naturally. But as soon as they came out of the ark, God told them, "Now you can kill and eat." Les draws an analogy with the Garden of Eden: garden living was totally different from life outside the garden—easy, with no sin, no opposition, no weeds, no thorns—but after the garden they were confronted with the curse, weeds, thistles, briars, thorns, and insects. God Himself never changed, but the format changed.
