What was life like after the Garden of Eden?

After the Garden of Eden, life became the opposite of the garden's ease. Humanity faced the curse: opposition from nature, weeds, thistles, briars, thorns, and insects. Sin and opposition entered, and the beautiful lifestyle ended. Though the format of life changed drastically, God Himself did not change.

Les explains that Garden of Eden living was totally different from life outside the garden. In the garden it was easy: no sin, no opposition, no weeds, no thorns—a beautiful lifestyle. After the garden, conditions were just the opposite. People were confronted with the opposition of nature: weeds, thistles, briars, thorns, and insects. That was the curse. Yet God had not changed; only the format changed. Les later notes similar format changes after the flood, but the immediate contrast is between Eden's ease and the cursed life outside it.
