Who does Paul say are the children of God in Galatians 3:26?

Paul declares that all who have faith in Christ Jesus are the children of God. In Galatians 3:26 he tells the Galatian believers, most of whom were Gentiles, “you are all the children of God, by faith in Christ Jesus.” This faith is in Christ’s finished work of redemption: His death, burial, shed blood, and resurrection.

Les explains that Paul is writing to the Galatian believers, who for the most part were Gentiles, and reminds them that they are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. When Paul speaks of faith in Christ, Les says he means the whole finished work of redemption—Christ’s death, burial, shed blood, and resurrection—and Paul constantly stresses the power of His resurrection. In the following verse, being baptized into Christ is contrasted with being baptized into a denomination; Les points out there is no water in that verse, just as in Romans chapter 6.
