Les Feldick Bible Study

What kind of man did God create in the beginning?

God created a perfect man in the beginning, one who could live forever. He placed him in the Garden of Eden to dress and keep it, allowing him to freely eat from every tree except the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, which would bring death.

Les teaches that the man was created perfect and could live forever. He was placed in the Garden of Eden to dress and keep it, which was a mild occupation because there were no weeds, thorns, or thistles. God allowed him to freely eat from every tree except the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Les explains that this raises the question: if God made everything perfect and the man perfect, why allow a test that could cause him to lose it all?
