Les Feldick Bible Study

What does God expect from us after we are saved?

After salvation, God expects believers to move out and live a life of service, some to a greater extent than others. He does not expect them to simply rest in saving grace and do nothing; rather, they are to move on. Salvation begins by trusting that Christ did it all and rose from the dead, then service follows.

Les explains that salvation begins when a person says, “Lord, there’s nothing I can do, but I believe You’ve done it all,” believing that Christ died for them and rose from the dead. After that, God expects believers to move out and live a life of service—some to a greater extent than others—and He does not expect them to just rest in saving grace and do nothing. Les illustrates this with a man who came out of a binding religion, was thrilled, and began his own Bible study. He compares stepping into the freedom of grace to setting a bird free from a cage. Paul also had to shed Judaism’s legalism over three years.
