Why has the word "Christian" lost its meaning today?

The word 'Christian' has lost its meaning because today almost anybody and anything can be called a Christian, so the label no longer carries its original efficacy or distinguishes genuine believers who came out of paganism by the Gospel of Grace.

Les explains that the term 'Christian' originally referred to Gentiles who responded to Paul's Gospel of the Grace of God, came out of their paganism, and became believers. But he notes that the term has lost its efficacy, because today almost anybody and anything can be called a Christian. This contrasts with the true Gospel of Christ, which Paul most explicitly laid out in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, the clearest explanation of Paul's Gospel. Any perversion of that Gospel is not another Gospel but a distortion.
