Why has Christianity lost its power?

Christianity has lost its power because biblical separation from unbelievers is no longer emphasized or practiced. The average person cannot see any difference between the average Christian and the average person of the world. God did not intend that; He wants believers separated from the world just as He separated Israel from Egypt.

Les explains that Paul, by inspiration, tells the Corinthians to be enlarged and not unequally yoked together with unbelievers. Les says we don't hear much about separation anymore, and he maintains this is exactly why Christianity has lost its power. The average person can't see any difference between the average Christian and the average person of the world. But God didn't intend it that way: just as He separated Israel from Egypt, He wants to separate you and I from the world. This does not mean being oddballs or constantly asking for persecution by our actions, but the world should know where we stand. Paul asks what concord or relationship the one who believes has with an infidel, so all the way through we have to be separated.
