What did Paul do in Damascus after he got his sight back?

After regaining his sight, he entered the synagogue in Damascus and proclaimed Jesus as the Christ. When word spread that Jews planned to kill him, he fled the city, being lowered over the wall in a basket. This marked the beginning of his life of suffering and fear.

Les explains that after Paul met the Lord on the road, was blinded, and then got food and his sight back in Damascus, he went into the synagogue and proclaimed that Jesus was the Christ. But that message was no longer sufficient, because God had further revelations to give him. Les notes that word then came out that Jews were ready to put him to death, so he had to flee for his life, being let down over the wall in a basket. Paul later wrote about this, saying the governor under Aretas the king kept the city with a garrison desirous to apprehend him, and he escaped through a window in a basket. Les observes this was a rough start to his career—right off the bat he had to run for his life—and it was part of getting him ready to take the Gospel of Grace.

Acts 9:20

And straightway he preached Christ in the synagogues, that he is the Son of God.
