What did Saul do immediately after his sight was restored?
Immediately after his sight was restored and he had eaten, Saul went straightway to the synagogues and preached Christ, proclaiming that Jesus was the Christ, the Son of God and Messiah of Israel, still confining his preaching to the Jew.
Les explains that after Saul received food and his sight was restored, he went straightway from the house of Ananias and preached Christ in the synagogues. He did not go uptown to the market place, but still confined his preaching to the Jew, because nobody had yet told him anything different. Ananias knew God's purpose, but Saul did not yet understand it. So immediately after the sight restoration and the trauma on the road to Damascus, he went to the synagogue of the Jew. He did not preach Christ crucified, buried, and risen from the dead, because he had not heard that any more than Peter had. Instead, he preached that Jesus was the Christ, that Christ is the Son of God, the Messiah of Israel.
And straightway he preached Christ in the synagogues, that he is the Son of God.
