What will Jesus Christ do to our bodies when He returns from heaven?
At His return from heaven, the Lord Jesus Christ will change the believer’s vile body and fashion it unto His own. This change is tied to the believer’s citizenship being in heaven, from whence we look for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who transforms the body to be like His.
Les explains from Philippians 3:20–21 that our citizenship, or conversation, is already in heaven. From there we look for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who changes our vile body so it may be fashioned unto His. Les teaches that the moment we become a believer and are placed in Christ, we are also made members of the Kingdom of Christ in heaven, but we are left here as ambassadors. Our job is to represent our homeland, and as representatives of heaven we become the ministers of reconciliation. The Kingdom will one day come back on the earth, and believers will come with Him and rule and reign with Him as members of that Kingdom in heaven.
