Can someone use a God-given gift without realizing it?
Yes, a person can use a God-given ability without recognizing it as a gift. The account describes people who thought they had no gift yet used one tremendously and did not realize they were using it. God supplies the ability, and every believer has a role.
Les explains that God gave Bezalel, Oahab, and every wisehearted man wisdom and understanding to work all manner of work for the service of the sanctuary. He stresses that the ability to do what we do comes from God, and whatever we are or hope to be is because of what God has done in and through us. Les teaches every believer has a role and a gift, no matter how untalented they think they are. He has seen people who thought they had no gift use a gift tremendously without realizing they were using it. The work must start with the heart, because God stirs the heart to come to the work.
