Where does the Antichrist come from and where does he go at the midpoint of the tribulation?
At the midpoint of the tribulation, the Antichrist comes from his headquarters, which is thought to be in Europe, and travels to Jerusalem. At that same moment, Satan is cast out of heaven and indwells the Antichrist, controlling him as he did Judas.
Les explains that at the midpoint of the tribulation, many events converge. The Antichrist comes from his headquarters—Les suggests Europe—to Jerusalem. Simultaneously, Satan is cast out of heaven and indwells the man Antichrist, controlling him. Les compares this to Judas, whom Satan entered and used. Indwelt by Satan, the Antichrist then pursues an escaping group of Jews, much like Pharaoh sent an army after Israel, but those Jews are under God's sovereign protection.
