Where will the Antichrist come from?
The Antichrist will arise out of a consortium of ten nations that form a United States of Europe. Scripture indicates these ten nations will emerge from the fragile European political and economic union, and from them the man, the Antichrist, will come to make a treaty with Israel.
Les explains that even though Europe is coming together politically and economically as a United States of Europe, the union is fragile because of latent hatreds, pictured by iron mixed with clay. Out of that consortium of ten nations—ten because the book says so—will come the man, the Antichrist. He will make a treaty with Israel that triggers God's prophetic time clock and the final seven years. Les notes the lack of real political unity makes it ripe for one man to come on the scene, and he feels we are getting close to the Antichrist's appearance, though he is not a date setter.
