Did Pharaoh drown in the Red Sea?

The Scripture does not reveal whether Pharaoh himself drowned in the Red Sea. If Ramesses II was the pharaoh, evidence of his mummified body suggests he did not drown. However, the Egyptian army was completely destroyed, with none left, as God delivered Israel.

Les explains that he rather doubts Pharaoh drowned, and if history is correct that Ramesses II was the pharaoh at this time, then he certainly wasn't drowned, because one of the mummified pharaohs still over there was indeed this same pharaoh. But whatever, the Scripture leaves us unaware as to whether or not Pharaoh himself was drowned, but none of the others were left; God had completely destroyed them. Les also notes Israel walked upon dry land in the midst of the sea with waters as a wall on their right and left. He discredits the movie The Ten Commandments for showing a narrow channel, since three to seven million people with livestock and herds could not have gone through that. He is convinced God opened the Red Sea an amazing distance and moved the multitude miraculously. Les sees the crossing as a picture of salvation, burial of Christ, and resurrection, and suggests looking at Romans chapter 6.

Was Ramesses II the pharaoh who drowned in the Red Sea?

If Ramesses II was the pharaoh of the exodus, he could not have been drowned in the Red Sea, because one of the mummified pharaohs still preserved in Egypt is identified as that same pharaoh.
