What happened when Israel came to the Red Sea with the Egyptian army behind them?

When Israel arrived at the shores of the Red Sea with the Egyptian army behind them, they faced a seemingly impossible situation, with no human hope to the right or left. God's instruction at that moment was to stand still.

Les explains that Israel had been in slavery in Egypt and had experienced the death angel passing over because they were under the blood. God then brought them out to an impossible situation at the shores of the Red Sea, with the Egyptian army behind them and impossibilities to the right and to the left. At that point, God told them to stand still. Les uses this as a picture of the human individual, who is without hope and has been in the slave market of Satan. He also compares it to the awful American slave trade, calling it despicable, totally inhuman, and beyond human description.

Exodus 14:13

And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.
