Is the Red Sea crossing in the movie The Ten Commandments accurate?

The movie's depiction of the Red Sea crossing is inaccurate. It shows a narrow channel, but Scripture describes the Israelites walking on dry land with waters as a wall. Given three to seven million people and livestock, God must have opened a vast distance and moved them miraculously faster than a three-mile-an-hour walk.

Les explains that the movie Ten Commandments inaccurately depicts the Red Sea crossing as a narrow channel. He says you would never run three to seven million people with all their livestock and herds through such a narrow passage. Les is convinced that God not only moved the whole multitude miraculously faster than a three-mile-an-hour walk but also opened the Red Sea an amazing amount of distance to allow that large a multitude to pass through in a short time. He affirms that however God did it, Scripture says He did it, and the event pictures salvation—the burial of Christ and resurrection.
