Who do believers look for from heaven—the Savior or the King?

Believers look for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, from heaven, not the King. Their citizenship is in heaven, and from that heaven they await Him. At the second coming, He comes to the Mount of Olives as King of kings for Israel, but for the church He comes as Savior, the head of the body.

Les teaches that the believer's conversation, or citizenship, is in heaven, and from that same heaven believers look for the Savior, not the King. He emphasizes that Christ will come at the second coming to the Mount of Olives, to the nation of Israel, as King of kings and Lord of lords. But that is not for the church. Instead, He comes for His body, the body of Christ, as the Savior and as the head of the body, not the King. So the church looks for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. Les also connects this with the coming metamorphosis, when Christ will change our vile, corrupt body and fashion it like unto His glorious body, according to the working whereby He is able even to subdue all things unto Himself. He points to Christ's 40 days after resurrection as a glimpse of the resurrected body: He looked normal, walked on two feet, appeared as another human being, walked with the disciples on the road to Emmaus, and then vanished without going out a door or a window.
