Who has the opportunity to share the Word with others?
Every one of us who knows the Lord has the opportunity to share the Word with whoever might listen. God did not entrust this treasure to angels but left it in the hands of mortal men, in earthen vessels, so that we can pass on the light of the knowledge of God.
Les explains that in 2 Corinthians 4:7, Paul says, 'we have this treasure'—the light of the knowledge of the glory of God. Les clarifies that this treasure is not in a clay pot; it is in earthen vessels, meaning this body of flesh made up of the elements of the earth. God did not see fit to put this magnificent knowledge and understanding in the hands of angels; He left it in the hands of mortal men. Paul was just as human as the rest of us, but it didn't stop with him. Other men came along, and down through human history, even today, every one of us has the opportunity to share the Word with whoever might listen.
