What satisfied God when Christ died and rose from the dead?

When Christ died and rose from the dead, God was totally satisfied that this was all we needed. Therefore, His death and resurrection can be trusted completely, not supplemented by legalism or human works, because God's satisfaction confirms that grace, not law-keeping, is sufficient.

Les explains that the Law was done away, while grace remains, presenting two great contrasts under the same God but two totally different economies. Legalism demands works to merit favor with God, and that self-effort is the devil's lie. Coming out of legalism, believers have hope because when Christ died and rose from the dead, God was totally satisfied that this was all we needed, and it can be trusted completely.
