Why did Christ rise from the dead?

Christ rose from the dead for our justification. His death dealt with sin, and His resurrection is tied to salvation: when you believe with all your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved, and whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Les teaches that Christ "died for our sin, and He rose again for our justification." In the Romans 10 passage, His crucifixion is not mentioned directly, but it is certainly implied by His being raised from the dead. Believing that God raised Him from the dead is connected with salvation: when you believe it with all your heart, thou shalt be saved, and this is a promise God cannot lie about. Scripture also says, "whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Galatians adds that He gave Himself for our sins to deliver us from this present evil world, and Ephesians speaks of redemption through His blood and forgiveness of sins according to the riches of His grace.

Galatians 1:3

Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ,
