What are believers supposed to be looking for as they go through their workweek?

As believers go through the workaday week, they are to be looking for the blessed hope—the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior, Jesus Christ—not the Second Coming. This hope accompanies living soberly, righteously, and godly in this present world, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts.

Les explains from Titus 2:11-13 that the grace of God bringing salvation has appeared to all men, so no one can say they never heard. That grace teaches believers to deny ungodliness and worldly lusts and to live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present world, in everyday experience. As they go through the workaday week, they are to be looking for that blessed hope—the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior, Jesus Christ. Les emphasizes this is not the Second Coming, and this verse gives deity to Christ, proving Jesus is truly God.
