Les Feldick Bible Study

Why is the internet frightening in light of Bible prophecy?

The internet is frightening because it creates a world with no place to hide, allowing anyone to be found and tracked. This technology brings Bible prophecy closer, since the Antichrist could use computers to put his thumb on every human being and instantly access anyone’s data.

Les explains that he had just visited a young banker involved in computer activity who said every new technology brings the prophecies that much closer, because the whole Book of Revelation is based on our tremendous technology. Les teaches that the Antichrist could never put his thumb on every human being on earth without the computer, but with it he could bring up data on an individual in Timbuktu by pushing a button and know everything he wants. The internet scares him because there is no place to hide; they can find anybody, and if they want to find us someday, it will be no problem. He also stresses that these things are bringing us closer and closer, though we are not yet in the tribulation. He then notes that what the Old Testament prophets, Jesus, and Peter spoke was directed to Israel and His Second Coming, never to the rapture of the Church.
