Why are people ignorant of what the Bible says about prophecy?
Their ignorance is not due to lack of brain power, but because they have refused to see what the Book says. Though Scripture is prophesied and contains these things, many have no concept that we are approaching the end time or that current events are stage setting for the Antichrist.
Les explains that although it is preached over and over in churches everywhere, America on the whole has no concept that we are approaching the end time. They do not realize that current events are a constant fulfilling of the stage setting. It is not yet fulfilled prophecy, but the stage is being set day by day for the appearance of the Antichrist, that world ruler. Les points to talk of global government, global business, a global market, and a growing global religion. He says this Book is prophesied and it is all in there, but they do not know it; they are totally ignorant, not because they lack brain power, but because they have refused to see what the Book says. He compares them to Israel, who was the same way, and cites verse 18 and verse 19 about Israel not knowing, Moses provoking them to jealousy by those who are no people, and a foolish nation angering them. He also asks why the Jews hated Paul and tried to kill him everywhere, answering that it was because he was going to the Gentiles.
