Les Feldick Bible Study

Why does Les teach the Old Testament and Gospels as much as Paul's letters?

The Pauline revelation is a new mystery, but it builds on everything that went before. Therefore the Old Testament and Gospels provide the necessary foundation for understanding the revealed Body of Truth, even though the mystery itself was never prophesied in them.

Les explains that the Pauline revelation is a whole new revelation given by the Holy Spirit to Paul, which Paul calls the Mystery, part of the revealed Body of Truth. It was not in the Old Testament, not in Christ’s ministry, and not in Peter’s activity in Acts, nor was it ever prophesied. Yet it builds on everything that went before. Therefore Les teaches the Old Testament and the Gospels just as much as the Pauline letters, because they provide the foundation from which the mystery came. Romans 16:25 describes the gospel and preaching of Jesus Christ according to the revelation of the mystery kept secret since the world began, and Deuteronomy 29 says the secret things belong unto the Lord our God.
