What will happen to our vile body?

The Lord Jesus Christ will change our vile body—this body prone to sin, death, and disease—so that it is fashioned like unto His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things unto Himself.

Les explains from Philippians chapter 3, verses 20-21, that our conversation, or citizenship, is in Heaven, and Colossians says we have already been translated into the Kingdom of Heaven. From that same Heaven where the Lord is now waiting, we look for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall change our vile body—the one prone to sin and death and disease. He shall change it so it may be fashioned like unto His glorious body, according to the working whereby He is able even to subdue all things unto Himself. Les emphasizes how plain this is as Paul enlarges on resurrection questions, and then points to studying the 40 days after His resurrection and before His ascension from the Mount of Olives.

Philippians 3:21
