What will God say to a good and faithful servant?

God will one day say to the good and faithful servant, "Well done, now good and faithful servant." This commendation contrasts with being a shame to God because of biblical ignorance, and it reflects God's desire for believers to be spiritual rather than fleshly or carnal.

Les explains, in the context of I Corinthians 3, that Paul addressed a carnal church as babes in Christ, feeding them milk rather than meat because they were not able to bear deeper truth. Les applies this by asking whether we are a shame to God because of biblical ignorance or something God will one day say, "Well done, now good and faithful servant." He stresses that God does not want people to remain fleshly and carnal but to be spiritual and enjoy the knowledge of God.
