Who will God say 'Well done, good and faithful servant' to?
God will say 'Well done, good and faithful servant' to the believer who is spiritual rather than carnal, who has grown in biblical knowledge and is not a shame to Him through ignorance. Such a person is not fleshly but enjoys the knowledge of God.
Les teaches from I Corinthians chapter 3 that Paul wrote to a carnal church, to babes in Christ who could only handle milk and not meat. They were fleshly and could not get excited about deep things. Les explains that God does not want people to be fleshly and carnal; He wants them to be spiritual and to enjoy the knowledge of God. So the one to whom God will one day say, 'Well done, now good and faithful servant,' is the believer who is not a shame to God because of biblical ignorance, but who has become spiritual and grown in the knowledge of God.
