What will people say to Jesus at the Great White Throne judgment?
At the Great White Throne judgment, the lost will claim, "Lord, didn't we cast out demons and prophesy in Thy name?" Jesus will answer, "Depart from me, I never knew you." They will have their moment and may attempt an argument before Him.
Les explains that in Revelation 19, the beast and false prophet are cast alive into the lake of fire, the first ones to inhabit the eternal doom of the wicked, without benefit of the Great White Throne judgment. All other lost will stand before the White Throne and at least have their moment of time, and they may put up an argument if they feel like it. Les points to Jesus' words: in that day, referring to the Great White Throne, they will say, "but Lord didn't we cast out demons, didn't we prophesy in Thy name?" His answer will be, "Depart from me, I never knew you."
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
