Will we die again after we are resurrected?
No. Resurrection is final, and those who experience it will not die again. Christ's resurrection demonstrated this: He arose from the dead into the eternal, never to die again. By contrast, Lazarus and the widow's son were merely brought back to life and later died again. Our resurrection will be permanent.
Les explains that resurrection must be defined correctly. Many use the word loosely, but people raised miraculously in Scripture, such as the widow's son under Elijah and Lazarus, were not resurrected; they were merely brought back to life and died again. Resurrection speaks of that which only Christ began: He arose from the dead into the eternal, never to die again. When we experience resurrection, it will be final. We will not again have to die and be brought back to life. So resurrection began with Christ, who was the first to be resurrected.
