Les Feldick Bible Study

What should be the predominating factor in a believer's life?

Love should be the predominating factor in a believer's life. It is the foundation of the Christian faith, prompted Christ to go to the cross and to save us through believing. Whether in marriage, with children, or with neighbors, it all boils down to how much we love them, even hating sin while loving the sinner.

Les teaches that love is the very foundation of the whole Christian faith. Love prompted Christ to go to the cross, and love prompted Him to save us by simply believing. Then the other side of the coin is that love is the predominating factor in the life of the believer. Whether it is in our marriage relationship, with our kids, or with our neighbors, it all boils down to how much we love them. Les also shares his own conviction that he does not love the unlovely as much as he should, recognizes it as a shortfall, and confesses it. He stresses that while we hate the sin, we must love the sinner, and he must constantly be aware of this.
