What is the most important thing in the life of a believer?

The most important thing in the life of a believer is faith—taking God at His Word. Scripture presents God as speaking, and He expects people to believe what He says. That faith rests on His promises, such as His promise to regather Israel. This emphasis on believing God is central.

Les teaches that what is most important in the life of a believer is faith—taking God at His Word. He asks who is saying this, and answers that God is saying it. God expects us to believe it. As an example, Les points to the promise that the nation of Israel will come back and be totally joined together as one nation, no longer divided, with all the tribes involved. He explains that “heathen” in the Bible is simply another word for Gentile, meaning people from all the nations of the world. God promises to take the children of Israel from among the heathen, gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land. Les notes this has been witnessed since the turn of the century, especially after World War II, as Jews constantly come back.
