Les Feldick Bible Study

Why should we be meticulous in how we build on the foundation?

We must be meticulous in how we build on the foundation because our section of the wall will be examined someday by the fiery eyes of the Lord Jesus. Paul involved believers in a building process; he laid the foundation, and every believer's work on it will face that divine scrutiny.

General believers have been building on that foundation for nearly 2,000 years, from around AD 29 or 30 to the present. Les illustrates this as a wall of cement blocks or brick, where we mix mortar and lay brick. He stresses being meticulous in how we build because our section of the wall will be examined someday by the fiery eyes of the Lord Jesus. As we embark on our Christian walk, God gives us six materials to build with.
