Les Feldick Bible Study

How much does it take to sow a seed in someone's life?

Sowing a seed in someone's life can take only a couple or three words—a brief statement that makes someone sit up and take notice about eternity. The planter and waterer are nothing; God gives the increase. Believers sow the seed, and God finishes the work of salvation.

Les explains that whether we are the planter, the waterer, or whatever other part of the work we may do, that isn't what counts. Neither he that plants nor he that waters is anything; God gives the increase. Paul himself did not take credit, because he did not save anyone—God did. The role of every believer is to sow the seed. Sometimes it only takes a couple or three words, a little statement that makes someone sit up and take notice about eternity. Then God can move in and finish that work of salvation.

1 Corinthians 3:8

Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.
