Can human beings comprehend the things God has prepared for those who love Him?

No. Scripture declares that eye has not seen, ear has not heard, and it has not entered into the heart of man the things God has prepared for those who love Him. Human beings cannot even begin to comprehend what God has already prepared; it is already there for those who love Him.

Les explains that after comparing the wisdom of men and the wisdom of religion with the wisdom of God, Paul says "as it is written" and reaches back to an Old Testament reference in verse 9: "Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither has entered into the heart of man the things which God hath prepared for them that love him." Les points out that this verse gives us a whole train load if we will just think on it, because there has never entered into the thoughts of man what God has prepared. We cannot even begin to comprehend the things God has already prepared. It is not something He will do someday; it is already there for those who love Him. Les notes that in present-day Christendom people hear a lot about heaven in vague terms, but almost nothing of the lake of fire and eternal doom. He emphasizes in his classes in Oklahoma that as a believer you should get excited about your eternity and about what is ahead of us.

1 Corinthians 2:9

But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
