What should I do when someone asks me who Jesus Christ is?

When someone asks who Jesus Christ is, treat it as a wide-open opportunity to tell them who He is and to show from Scripture all that had been accomplished because of who He is. Especially explain that He died for them, since realizing this makes all the difference.

Les explains that a person asking, "Who in the world is Jesus Christ?" is a good question because it gives a wide-open opportunity. He says he could not only tell the man who Christ was, but show him from Scripture all that had been accomplished because of who He was. Les also shares about a lady who had been in church all her life but never knew why Christ died. Millions sit in pews with a mental comprehension that Jesus was crucified and raised, yet they have no affinity to the fact that when He died, He died for them. When she realized He died for her, that made all the difference. Les calls this the preaching of the cross, which the world considers foolishness. Though thousands were crucified by the Romans, Christ's crucifixion was a singular event by a singular individual that impacted the world ever since. So when asked, use the opportunity to preach the cross and show what His death accomplished.
