Why is 'Who is Jesus Christ?' a good question to ask?

It is a good question because it opens a wide opportunity to explain who Christ is and to show from Scripture what was accomplished by His death. Many know Jesus was crucified but not why; realizing He died for them makes all the difference.

Les teaches that the question 'Who in the world is Jesus Christ?' is a good question because it provided a wide-open opportunity not only to tell who Christ was but also to show from Scripture all that had been accomplished because of who He was. He notes that many people in church pews have a mental comprehension that Jesus was crucified and raised, but they do not really know why. A lady told him she had been in church all her life and never knew why Christ died until she came to his class; when she realized He died for her, it made all the difference. That is the preaching of the cross, which the world often dismisses as foolishness, even though Christ's crucifixion was a singular individual event that impacted the world.
