What is the best question a person could ever ask?
The question is, 'Who is Jesus Christ?' A gentleman once asked that, and it was called the best question you could ever ask. The answer is that He is the Creator of the universe, the God of creation who took on flesh and went the way of the cross.
Les explains that a gentleman came to his ranch and asked, 'Who in the world is Jesus Christ anyway?' Les says that was the best question you could have ever asked, and he repeatedly told the man so. The question, 'Who is Jesus Christ?' is the best question because the answer reveals that He is the Creator of the universe, the God of creation, the same God of Genesis 1-1, who took on flesh and went the way of the cross. He had to be God to taste death for every man and pay the sin debt of every human being. Les connects this to Paul's teaching that God was in Christ, reconciling the world back to Himself after He lost it in Adam, not imputing their trespasses unto them. Until a lost person dies, their sins are not being held against them, but after death that opportunity for believing the Gospel is lost.
