Les Feldick Bible Study

What did the man's question 'Who is Jesus Christ?' open the door for Les to do?

The man's question opened a wide-open opportunity to explain who Jesus Christ is and to show from Scripture everything that had been accomplished because of who He is. It allowed a clear presentation of Christ's identity and the finished work tied to His person.

Les explains that after asking the man where he was coming from and what was on his mind, the man asked, "Who in the world is Jesus Christ?" Les calls it a good question and wishes more people would ask it. This gave him the wide-open opportunity not only to tell the man who Christ was but also to show him from Scripture all that had been accomplished because of who Christ is. Les connects this to the preaching of the cross: many churchgoers mentally accept that Jesus was crucified and raised, yet never knew why He died. One lady realized He died for her, and that made all the difference. The world often sees the cross as foolishness, and though Romans crucified many, Christ's crucifixion uniquely impacted the world.
