What did Aquila and Priscilla do for Apollos in Acts 18:26?

Aquila and Priscilla took Apollos unto themselves and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly. They explained in detail what he was missing, communicating everything they had learned from Paul: the cross had made all the difference, ending the kingdom economy, the law, and temple worship because Christ had died, been buried, and risen.

Les explains that Aquila and Priscilla likely took Apollos home for dinner, and across that dinner table they let him know everything he was missing. Acts 18:26 says they took him unto them and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly. The word “expound” means detail by detail, and Paul’s similar word “communicate” means leaving no stone unturned so it is clearly understood. Priscilla and Aquila communicated or expounded the way of God more completely. Les suggests they told Apollos everything they had learned from Paul: that the cross now made all the difference, and they were no longer under the kingdom economy, the law, or temple worship, because Christ had died, been buried, and risen from the dead. Later, when Apollos was disposed to pass into Achaia, the brethren wrote exhorting disciples to receive him, and he helped them much, having believed through grace; his whole mind had been opened up.

Acts 18:26

And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue: whom when Aquila and Priscilla had heard, they took him unto them, and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly.
