Why do fellow church leaders think end-time teaching is crazy?
Fellow church leaders dismiss end-time teaching as crazy because they are spiritually asleep, unaware of current events setting the stage for the final seven years, and resistant to being awakened. They prefer comfort and say, "Leave me alone," so they reject the warning to wake up.
Les explains that the church is in spiritual sleep tonight, sound asleep and totally unaware of the things taking place that are setting the stage for the final seven years of human history. He notes that people tell him their fellow deacons and elders think he is "plumb nuts" when he talks about everything getting ready for the end time. That does not surprise him, because they are asleep and do not want to be woken up; they say, "Leave me alone." In Illinois they say, "I'm comfortable, leave me alone." Paul says, "Wake up. We are in the end time," and if he thought it was 2,000 years ago, it is closer now.
