Why do church people reject talk about the end times getting set up?
Church people reject end-times setup talk because they are spiritually asleep, comfortable, and unaware of the world events preparing the stage for the final seven years of human history. They do not want to be awakened, saying leave me alone.
Les explains that Paul, knowing the time, says it is high time to awake out of spiritual sleep, which is where the church is tonight. Les teaches that church people are sound asleep, totally unaware of the things taking place that are setting the stage for the coming final seven years of human history. He notes that fellow deacons and elders think he is plumb nuts when he talks about everything getting ready for the end time, but that does not surprise him because they are asleep and do not want to be woke up; they say, "Leave me alone," and in Illinois, "I'm comfortable, leave me alone." Paul says wake up, and if he thought it was the end time 2,000 years ago, it is closer now.
