Why can no one set a date for the end of the church age?

The church age is an undetermined period whose conclusion remains strictly in the mind of God. God’s prophetic clock stopped when Israel rejected the Old Testament prophecies at the crucifixion and resurrection, and it stays stopped during the church age. No one should attempt to guess its end because God alone knows that timing.

Les teaches that the church age is an undetermined period of time that no one can set a date on, and no one should even try to guess because it is strictly in the mind of God. He explains that God’s time clock stopped when Israel rejected everything concerning the Old Testament prophecies at the crucifixion and resurrection. During the church age, that clock remains stopped. Only when the individual from the revived Roman Empire signs a seven-year treaty with Israel does the clock kick back into gear, beginning seven distinct scriptural years. Until that treaty is signed, the end of the church age cannot be dated.
