Can we fully understand the wisdom and judgments of God?

No, finite human beings cannot fully comprehend God's wisdom or trace out His judgments. Scripture declares His wisdom is unsearchable, His judgments past finding out, and asks who has known the mind of the Lord. Believers can comprehend more after salvation, but God's infinite wisdom remains beyond human grasp.

Les explains that after verse 32, where God concluded all—Jew and Gentile—in unbelief so He might have mercy on all, the text moves to verse 33 and the depth of the riches of God's wisdom and knowledge. Les teaches that we cannot even come close to comprehending His wisdom, and that His judgments are unsearchable and His ways past finding out. Verse 34 asks who has known the mind of the Lord or who has been His counselor, showing that God's wisdom is beyond human counsel. While believers receive a new nature and an opened ability to comprehend spiritual things, God's infinite wisdom and judgments remain beyond full human understanding.

Romans 11:33

O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!
