Why can't we always understand God's ways?
We cannot always understand God's ways because He is sovereign, omnipotent, and all-knowing; Scripture declares His ways are higher than our ways and His thoughts higher than ours. We are not to question Him, but trust that He never makes a mistake.
Les teaches that in the context of Ezekiel 38 and the Gog and Magog prophecy, we must never lose sight of the fact that God is sovereign. Some things God does we cannot understand, but it is not for us to question because He is the omnipotent, the all-knowing. Scripture says plainly that His ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts are higher than ours. Therefore, we cannot always comprehend His way of doing things, but we leave it in His hands and know that He never makes a mistake. This same sovereign God prophetically declares that He will turn the consortium of nations back, changing their direction like turning a horse.
