When did the Church Age begin and the body of Christ have its start?
The Church Age began sometime between A.D. 30 and A.D. 40. That same span marks when the body of Christ had its beginning. This onset runs parallel to Israel’s subjection to Gentile powers, which started in 606 B.C. and continues until Christ returns at His second coming.
Les explains that the onset of the Church Age is not totally parallel but sort of parallel to Israel’s long subjection to Gentile empires. He places it sometime between A.D. 30 and A.D. 40, when the body of Christ had its beginning. For the last 1900 plus years, the Church has been accumulating as people are brought into the body. It will be filled, and Christ will take it out at what is called the Rapture.
