When did the Body of Christ begin to form?
The Body of Christ began forming with the conversion of Saul in Acts chapter 9. From that point onward, God has been adding believers one at a time for about 1900 and some years, building that Body until its completion.
Les explains that the Body of Christ is like a baby developing in the womb: it starts invisible, cells are added daily for nine months, and when the last cells are in place, delivery comes. He teaches that the Body of Christ has been forming ever since it began in Acts chapter 9 with the conversion of Saul. For 1900 and some years, God has been adding believers one at a time from around the world. All are baptized into that one Body—Jew or Gentile, black or white, East or West, rich or poor, bond or free—and all partake of the one Spirit. He then asks when it will finally be raptured out.
