Les Feldick Bible Study

On what is the church-age calling of the body of Christ based?

The church-age calling of the body of Christ is based on the grace of God and the finished work of the cross—His death, burial, and resurrection. It is not under law, not associated with Israel, Judaism, or the temple, and is totally insulated from God's dealings with the nation of Israel.

Les explains that the mystery reveals God is doing something different during this 1,900-plus-year period: He is calling out the body of Christ. This calling is not under law, not associated with the nation of Israel, and not associated with Judaism or the temple. It is totally the operation of the grace of God, based upon the finished work of the cross—His death, burial, and resurrection. Les stresses that law and grace cannot be mixed, and the church is not part of the Jewish program or the law. It is insulated from God's dealings with Israel. When the church age is completed, it must be taken out of the way so God can pick up where He left off with Israel, introducing the Antichrist's seven-year treaty with Israel according to Daniel chapter 9.
