Does Romans 11 teach that God is finished with Israel?

No. Romans 11 teaches that God is not through with the nation of Israel. Israel has been set aside for the last 1900 and some years, without temple, priesthood, sacrifice, and homeland until our generation, but God is not through with His covenant people. He will go back and pick up where He left off with Israel.

Les explains from Romans chapter 11 that Paul makes it plain by inspiration that God is not through with the nation of Israel. Israel was set aside for the last 1900 and some years, without the temple, without a priesthood, without a sacrifice, and without a homeland until our generation, but God is not through with His covenant people. Les points to the grafting process: Israel was removed, her branches broken off, and Gentiledom was placed over the root of father Abraham. Gentiles have had the blessing of the gospel and the opportunity for salvation, but their day is fast coming to a close because they too have walked it underfoot. God's grace and patience will one day soon run out, and He will go back and pick up where He left off with Israel. In Romans 11:25 Paul writes to brethren so they should not be ignorant, and Les notes that ignorance is not a lack of intelligence but a lack of having been taught something.
