What does Romans 11 teach about God's future dealing with Israel?

Romans 11 teaches that God has not cast away His people Israel. Though He has temporarily set them aside and blinded them in unbelief, He will return to finish His dealing with His covenant people, fulfilling the covenant promises foretold by the Old Testament prophets.

Les explains that Romans 11 opens by asking whether God has cast away His people, and he notes that much of Christendom would wrongly say yes, that God is all through with the Jew. But the chapter shows God is not through with Israel. He has set them aside and blinded them, yet He has not cast them away. Romans 11 teaches that God will come back and finish His dealing with His covenant people, which the Old Testament foretold, including Ezekiel 37, Deuteronomy 29, and Zechariah. Although Israel is presently in blindness and unbelief, God will yet fulfill these covenant promises with His chosen people. Paul reinforces this by identifying himself as an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham and the tribe of Benjamin.
