What has happened to the rest of the nation of Israel?

The rest of the nation of Israel has been blinded. For the most part, they did not obtain what they were seeking because in unbelief they rejected the redeeming Savior, wanting only a ruling king. Many still practice religion or live secularly, yet remain spiritually blind, while the elect believers have obtained salvation.

Les teaches that the nation of Israel, for the most part, did not obtain that which they sought. They wanted the King and the Kingdom, but they would not deal first with the sin problem and would not receive a redeeming Savior, only a ruling king. Because they rejected Him and crucified Him, the rest have been blinded. Les explains that not all were rejected, for the election have obtained it; the elect are the believers, including Jews who came to salvation and are in the Body of Christ with the rest of us. Tonight, the nation of Israel is out there, some practicing their religion, some orthodox, some secular, but for the most part they are spiritually blind.

Romans 11:7

What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded.
